Useimmilla ihmisillä elinpiiri supistuu vanhemmiten. Arkipäivät kuluvat paljolti sisällä, etenkin talvisin. Huoneet, joissa vanhat ihmiset elävät, tulisi sen vuoksi olla erityisen huolellisesti suunniteltuja. Pienissä tai pienehköissä asunnoissa ikkunoiden ja niistä avautuvien näkymien merkitys korostuu.
Vanhojen ihmisten paviljonki on moduulimitoitettu clt –rakenteinen rivitalo. Runkoon liitetyt katetut terassit ja lasikuistit ovat tärkeä sisä- ja ulkotilaa välittävä vyöhyke. Lasikuistit voivat toimia myös tuulikaappeina silloin, kun katettu terassi on avoin.

For most people, the inner circle of family and friends closest to an individual gets increasingly smaller as we age. Everyday life is generally spent indoors, especially during winter. The living quarters for old people should therefore be exceptionally well designed. In smaller apartments, the importance of windows and the view is heightened.
The senior pavilion is a modular coordinated, CLT structured row house. The covered terraces and glazed porches connected to the frame are an important transitional area between indoor and outdoor space. Another function of the glazed porch is to stop draft when the covered terrace has an open structure.
