Uimalat ovat usein hälyisiä halleja. Kylpylä – sanasta tulee mieleen hiljainen ja rauhallinen lepäämiseen pyhitetty tila. Suunnitelmassa on ehdotettu yhdistetyn uimala-kylpylän ratkaisuksi, että saunat, puku- ja pesutilat ovat hallin keskellä omalla ”saarellaan”. Ne, jotka haluavat uida kilometrejä yhteen menoon, kiertävät saarta. Se on hauskempaa, kuin edestakainen, altaan päästä toiseen uinti.

Swimming pools are often located in noisy halls. The word spa is associated with a calm, relaxing place of rest. These plans suggest an ‘island’ for dressing rooms, shower and sauna facilities, that are surrounded by the pool; for those swimming distance, making laps around the island will be much more fun than going back and forward in a standard pool.
